How to fill it in
- Place the opener and the closer first, then the rooms that fill earliest.
- Stagger breaks so a room never loses more people than the floater can cover.
- Use the notes for who covers whom during breaks.
- Check the day against the ratio, qualification and supervision rules for your service, which this template does not do.
Common mistakes
- Two breaks in the same room at the same time with nobody covering
- A closing shift that ends before the last child is due to be collected
- A roster that looks full, checked against no number of children booked
