How to fill it in
- Put one person on each rowName and role, so somebody reading it knows who covers what.
- Write each shift as start and finishLike 9:00–17:00. A shift that runs past midnight is written the same way: 22:00–02:00.
- Leave days off emptyThe Shifts column counts what each person has, and the total at the bottom counts the week.
Questions
Is the weekly roster template free?
Yes. The Excel, CSV and PDF files are plain links with no sign up, no email address and no account. Nothing is held back behind a form.
How do I write an overnight shift on the weekly roster template?
The same way as any other shift: start and finish, like 22:00–02:00. The sheet does not work hours out, so a shift that crosses midnight needs no special handling here.
Does the weekly roster template work out hours or pay?
No. It counts how many shifts each person has and totals the week, and that is all. It does not take unpaid breaks off and it does not work out pay, because a roster is a plan rather than a pay record. The timesheet template is the one that counts hours.
Can I print the weekly roster template for the wall?
Yes. The PDF is laid out to print on one page, and the Excel file has the print area set, so a week goes up on the noticeboard without anybody reformatting it.
