How to fill it in
- Set the three shift blocks and their hours once.
- Put names in each block, day by day, until no cell is empty.
- Count the people on each day, and look twice at any block with one person in it.
- Check the rest between a night and the next shift for anybody who moves between blocks.
Common mistakes
- No overlap at 07:00 or 23:00, so the handover happens on the doorstep
- One person rostered on a night and on the day shift that follows it
- Treating a night as covered because somebody is on call rather than on site
