How to fill it in
- Write the pattern once at the top, one code per day.
- Give each team a starting point further along the pattern, so every day and every night is covered.
- Fill the codes down for as many days as you need, or lay them out with the shift pattern generator.
- Use the handover column for anything the next team must know.
Common mistakes
- Changing one team’s pattern without checking the cover it leaves for the others
- Not checking the rest between a team’s last night and its next day shift against the award
- Moving a person between teams without writing the change down
