Shift reminders, and a name to call for cover
Staff get reminded before they are due. If somebody is late enough to count as a no show, Roster Flow suggests who to call, based on who is reliable and free.
What it does
- A reminder before the shift, at an interval you set
- No shows raised once somebody is properly late
- Suggested cover, ranked by punctuality and availability
- People on approved leave left out of the suggestions
- Anyone called in can clock in unrostered while you sort the roster out

How it works

What it does not do
Said plainly here, so nobody finds out after they have set it up.
- The shortlist is a suggestion. Who to ring, and whether to, stays with you
- Reminders go at the interval you set, and cannot stop somebody who has decided not to come

Questions about cover and reminders
What are shift reminders and cover suggestions?
Staff are reminded before each shift at the interval you set. If somebody is late enough to count as a no show, Roster Flow raises it and suggests who to call, ranked by punctuality and availability.
How is the cover shortlist ranked?
By actual punctuality from the attendance record and by who is available, with people on approved leave left out. The shortlist is a suggestion, and who to ring stays with you.
Can I change when shift reminders are sent?
Yes. How long before the shift the reminder goes is a setting in Clocking settings, so an hour ahead can suit a cafe and the night before can suit a crew leaving at five in the morning.
What happens when the person covering arrives?
They clock in even though they were never rostered. The clock in is marked unrostered and goes to a manager to approve, so the record stays straight.
