How to fill it in
- Roster by area first, so each part of the venue has its own cover.
- Give a function its own rows and its own people, even if they work the bar most weeks.
- Plan the late finishes and the next morning together for anybody closing.
- Check that the people you place hold whatever responsible service or gaming qualifications your licence requires.
Common mistakes
- A duty manager closing on Saturday and opening on Sunday morning
- Function staff counted in the bar numbers, leaving the bar short when the function starts
- No gaming room cover for the last hour before close
